The Heaphy Track walks can be made all the more enjoyable with a glass or two of wine each evening, available as an optional upgrade to your package. After your walk you can opt to be pampered further still – request the massage upgrade and we’ll organise a relaxing sports massage for you on your return to Nelson. Just make sure that when you book your trip you let the team know which upgrade you would like.
WINE UPGRADE:
The wine upgrade is for those who wish to accompany their gourmet meals with some award-winning local New Zealand wine;the wines have been selected to match our menus but if you are partial to a particular grape then do let us know!

MASSAGE UPGRADE:
For those wanting to treat those muscles after their walking holiday, we can arrange a half hour sports massage on arrival back into Nelson. A great way to prepare for your onward journey, either back home or to begin the rest of your holiday!

GEAR HIRE:
Southern Wilderness have high quality backpacks, sleeping bags, rain jackets and hiking poles available for hire for the duration of your trip. While it is always nice to have your own gear, this hire service is useful if you are coming from overseas and have weight restricitons or if you do not think you can justify investing in expensive new gear when it might not get much use after the trip. We only have limited stores of equipment so please be sure to reserve gear at the time of booking.
- Backpack, sleeping bag and jacket hire – $50 per item per trip
- Hiking pole hire – $20 per pair per trip
