Day 1 - Leaving Darwin and into Kakadu
After a pick up from accommodation at 6:30am in Darwin, your guide will then drive you out towards Kakadu. This morning you will stop off for a wildlife and crocodile cruise on Corroboree Billabong, part of the Mary River Wetlands area. From here we drive to the East Alligator River for lunch before exploring the ancient aboriginal rock art at Ubirr. This art is thousands of years old and a wonderful insight into the aboriginal culture. The area also provides spectacular 360 degree panoramic views of the 20,000 square kilometers of the Never-never, Kakadu National Park. Then it’s time to set up camp near (but not to close) a billabong where you can enjoy a great sunset with the birds and the crocs before a campfire cooked meal.

Day 2 - The famous Twin, and Jim Jim Falls
Today we head off to spend the morning hiking to the top of the famous Twin Falls for a refreshing swim in croc free waters and surrounded by breathtaking scenery. After lunch we make our way over to the iconic Jim Jim Falls area for a 1km walk through the gorge with towering cliffs up to the plunge pool and beach for a relaxing swim before we head back to our campsite for dinner and a beverage.

Day 3 - Cultural Centre and Barramundi Gorge
After breaking camp we head south through Kakadu to Cooinda, where we visit the Warradjan Cultural Centre to gain a bit more of an insight into the culture of the local indigenous people. Then it’s off to Maguk (Barramundi Gorge) for a stroll through a Paperbark (Melaleuca) forest before reaching the plunge pool and waterfall for an afternoon swim and snorkel, lots of freshwater fish, turtles and other underwater wildlife. This afternoon we leave Kakadu and head towards our campsite at Umbrawarra Gorge.

Day 4 - Umbrawarra Gorge and Edith Falls
This morning it’s a short stroll from the camp for an early morning dip before or after breakfast, and maybe a bit of exploring. After we break camp we head down the Stuart Highway and stop off at Edith Falls National Park. A loop walk will reward you with panoramic views and refreshing swimming along the way. Then it’s off to Katherine. Tonight we camp at the Katherine Gorge Campground.

Day 5 - Katherine Gorge Canoeing
After a big breakfast (you’ll need it) we get in the canoes and go paddling for ½ day up Katherine Gorge soaking up the atmosphere as you float through this prehistoric landscape. After lunch we begin our trek north again making our way to our campsite at Surprise Falls in Litchfield National Park, this afternoon we should have some time to relax in and by the water before our last big campfire feast.

Day 6 - Litchfield, Termite Mounds and back to Darwin
After breakfast it’s a scenic drive across black soil floodplains littered with majestic magnetic and cathedral termite mounds towering through the landscape. Then it’s a short walk to Sandy Creek Falls walking through ancient Cycad Forests to be rewarded with another beautiful waterfall. From here it’s back to the bitumen and the crowds. After lunch we will visit Buley Rock holes, Florence Falls and Wangi Falls before returning you to your accommodation in Darwin by approximately 5:30pm
