The World heritage area, Kakadu National Park is one of Australians most amazing places on earth. The ancient countryside, culture and wonderful animals are truly an experience of another world. Savannah woodlands, rocky escarpments, and picturesque water falls, this experience is one that you'll remember for the rest of your life.
During the New Zealand winter months is a perfect time to visit. Temperatures in a vicinity of the early to late twenty degrees can be relied upon. And with an average rainfall over June and July of less than 10mm you can be sure of blue skies and plenty of sun. The perfect antidote for a New Zealand Winter!
Our six day Kakadu Outback Safari sees us camping our way through not only Kakadu, but also two other equally impressive National Parks, Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge), and Litchfield. Canoeing up the Katherine Gorge, and exploring the Floodplains and swimming holes of Litchfield national Park, this is a full six day Safari of new experiences. Each night you will be camping in the outback, at some camp spots there are showers, at others you'll be at one with nature. This far away from light pollution you'll see the night sky like never before, a dark velvet blanket scattered with stars.
Each day your guide will take you on a different trek, exploring the surrounding valleys and plateau’s, almost every day will have a swim involved so make sure you pack your swimming gear!. Each day is quite different from the other and your guide will take you from cultural paintings, to awe inspiring gorges, from canoeing adventures, to vast floodplains. One of the main attractions with this option is that each day you only need to carry a small day bag with your lunch and water and of course your camera to capture the daily wonders you will be surrounded by.
