Gear Hire

Southern Wilderness can cater for your tramping gear hire requirements. We have high quality backpacks, sleeping bags, rain jackets and hiking poles available for hire for the duration of your trip.

While it is always nice to have your own gear, this hire service is useful if you are coming from overseas and have weight restrictions or if you do not think you can justify investing in expensive new gear when it might not get much use after the trip.

We only have limited stores of equipment so please be sure to reserve gear at the time of booking. Failure to return gear will result in a replacement charge.

• Backpack  hire – $50 per item per trip
• Sleeping bag – $50 per item per trip
• Rain Jacket – $50 per item per trip
• Hiking pole hire – Free of charge
