Day One Nelson to Anchorage
Our friendly guides will greet you at your Nelson accommodation and take you for breakfast at Toad Hall in Motueka. After a short briefing and final gear check we set off to the starting point, Marahau. Here we will leave your overnight belongings with the boat to be transferred through to Anchorage where we will be spending our first night. Today’s walk skirts the coastline with side trips available Tinline Bay then onto Coquille Bay This is one of many picturesque sandy beaches to be encountered on this trip. We have plenty of time to cover today’s distance and so there’ll be ample opportunities for photographs and stops at the beaches along the way. We’ll pass Apple Tree and Stilwell bays where we will be stopping for our fresh gourmet lunch. After lunch we continue to Anchorage where our yacht’s crew will be waiting ready to pick us up off the beach
Day Two Anchorage to Onetahuti
Today we will start our day with a delicious cooked breakfast on the yacht before departing on our days walk to Bark Bay, we will spend the morning exploring the surrounding bays with the option of taking a smaller boat up the falls river (depending on tide), the walk from here takes us past Torrent Bay and through lush coastal forest to Bark Bay where we will meet up with our yacht. From here we will spend the afternoon sailing past Tonga Island up to Onetahuti beach where we will be anchoring for the evening. No doubt we’ll see some seals and other wildlife along the way.
Day Three Onetahuti to Nelson
A relaxing morning sail north to Awaroa inlet we begin walking back to Onetahuti beach, Todays walk starts with a small climb followed by an easy descent onto the beach, it is the shortest walk of the trip and leaves plenty of time for the afternoon sail. We will have lunch on the water as the crew prepare to sail back to Nelson, looking back at the track from the ocean gives us a completely different perspective and is a nice easy way to finish the trip Here we will leave your overnight belongings
